The Real Reason I Can “Do It All” (Without Burning Out Again)

I’ve been getting a version of the same question a lot lately:
“How do you do it all?”
Especially in the summer, when I’m sharing updates about pottery classes, archery, spontaneous travel, time at the pool with my daughter, adventures in the garden, and all the magic that happens in a slower, more playful season of life.
But what I know they’re really asking, especially those of you who’ve followed my burnout journey, is this:
“How do you do all of that... without burning out again?”
And I get it. Because from the outside, it can look like I’m juggling a million things.
Real talk… everything is different now.
This version of “doing it all” is built from the ground up. And it’s rooted in two major shifts:
1. Releasing the Shoulds + Holding Boundaries
Let’s start with the inner work. Because this is the part people can’t see but it’s EVERYTHING.
I’ve spent years unlearning the patterns that led me to burnout. That means letting go of all the “shoulds” that told me how I needed to work, what productivity needed to look like, and where my worth was tied to overgiving and overdoing.
It means I now hold fierce boundaries, with myself, with my calendar, with my energy.I say no. A LOT.
Not because I don’t care.
Because I actually care deeply, about myself.
Because every time I say no to something that’s out of alignment, I’m saying yes to something that brings me joy, peace, and meaning.
And that shift? That’s been everything.
2. Building a Business That Supports My Life
The second major piece of this is the strategy, the way I’ve intentionally structured my business.
I’ve designed offers and systems that support how I want to live, not the other way around. And because of that:
I work about 10 hours a week during the summer
I still had three of my highest revenue months this year (back to back).
And come fall I’ll shift to work 20–25 hours/week MAX
This is the entire reason I started my business in the first place: to have the freedom and flexibility to actually live my life, not just run a business.
My luxury isn’t yachts or designer bags. It’s a garden that grounds me, slow mornings with my daughter, creative play, and time to actually be in my life.
What This Means for You
If you’re reading this and wondering how to build a business that feels good, lets you breathe, and still meets your goals, know this:
It is possible.
But it requires two things:
Doing the inner work to release the pressure and reclaim your time
Structuring your business around your values, not just your goals
This is the exact work I do with my 1:1 clients (especially those who are in or recovering from burnout or stuck in survival mode) and ready to lead differently this time around.
It’s not about doing more (or less). It’s about doing what actually matters.
Want to peak behind the curtains and see how this could work for you?
Let’s talk. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
The vision is possible. It just needs a better foundation.
