When all the things are coming at us and we’re feeling overwhelmed, our nervous system takes the hit. We get dysregulated, or maybe we never learned how to regulate in the first place.

So many of us come into entrepreneurship carrying patterns from working in other industries, systems, or workplaces where overworking was the norm. We think: “This business will be the answer. This business will fix it.”

Mic drop here for you…. your business isn’t the answer.

Your business is the tool.

You are the answer.

That means weaving yourself - your well-being, your regulation, your capacity — into the foundation of how you lead and grow.

Because when we don’t, here’s what happens:

  • We continue to show up from a place of dysregulation.

  • Our capacity shrinks.

  • The little things that wouldn’t normally stress us out start to skyrocket into overwhelm.

And when we’re in that cycle, it’s not just uncomfortable…. it’s unsustainable.

You can’t grow from there. Your business can’t grow from there.

The good news? If you’re noticing this, it’s information. It’s data. It’s your body and business telling you: “Something’s off. You can’t keep going this way.”

That awareness is the first step to change. It’s the moment you get to pause, regroup, and start regulating, not just pushing harder.

Because your business doesn’t thrive without you thriving, too.
